I love photography and as much as I love the convenience of digital photography and being able to see the picture right away to decide if it is necessary to take another,I still have to say that film photography will always have my heart.
Theres something about it that digital cameras just don’t have, and using film makes you so much more selective and careful of the photos you are taking rather than the point and shoot mentality that most have of digital photography, with film there is an art to it.One of my favourite things about it though is the way pictures look, they may not be extremely crisp and clear such as digital photographs but they have an amazing look that nothing else can capture quite the same way.Well after my little rant, heres the photos I took the other day wandering around with my Dad’s Canon AE-1. Last night I was feeling kind of bored so I hopped In my truck for an adventure. Before I set off I payed a surprise visit to one of my favorite little cousins, told her to grab her camera and we headed out. We ended up at a beach about 20 minutes away and had some fun taking pictures and catching up. Here are a few of the photos I took, the last one even features my little cousin:) Enjoy!

Well its summertime! And one of my favourite parts about the summer is all the delicious fruit that is in season. So to mix it up the other day for my snack at work i made a super easy yummy trail mix that had peanuts, cashews, almonds, raisins and m&m’s. But because its summer i added blueberries! Although it was really good, next time i am going to add craisins too :) hope this gives you some inspiration to mix things up with some fruit!

Since sundays here are boring, I decided to go on a couple adventures this week :) first to the hopewell foot bridge, then a walk through town and down the walking trail. Today I tried a new Cafè in my town called Baked. I was kind of skeptical at first because i hadn’t heard of anyone that had tried it, but I was delightfully surprised when i entered. Not only was it decorated with a very earthy feel to it but as I scanned the menu they had some really good sounding food! I have to say though, that the best part was that you can get latte’s and other yummy coffee (which is hard to find in my town.) Just thought i would share a little part of my day and hopefully inspire you to try someplace new :)
ps. in the picture is my chai tea latte and blackberry tart, both sooo good!
